Vormen

Single disc TLV

  • Uses one gate/disc to open or isolate the transfer line.

  • Suited for applications where tight shut-off is required but not extreme.

  • Fewer moving parts → simpler mechanism, lower maintenance, smaller footprint.

  • Typically chosen when operating pressures are moderate and seat load is predictable.

Double disc TLV

  • Uses two opposing discs that mechanically expand against the seats in the closed position.

  • Provides higher sealing capacity, especially under high temperature, coke-laden, or cycling conditions.

  • The expanding action reduces seat friction during opening/closing → lower wear.

  • Preferred when zero-leakage isolation, high reliability, or frequent switching between cracking and decoking is required.

Werking en opties

  • Through-conduit gate configuration with a straight bore to maintain minimal pressure drop.

  • Full-bore geometry matching the transfer line to avoid flow disturbance.

  • Linear actuation (rising or non-rising stem depending on design envelope).

  • Compact block body or split-body construction to withstand thermal cycling.

  • Inline layout designed for direct installation at furnace coil outlets.

Applicaties

  • Steam cracking furnaces: Installed on the transfer line outlet to manage flow of cracked gas from radiant coils.

  • Ethylene and olefin production: Used to maintain stable flow during production and isolate lines during decoking.

  • Decoking operations: Enables controlled routing of steam or air for coke burn-off without interrupting furnace integrity.

  • High-temperature hydrocarbon service: Suitable where radiant-coil outlet temperatures and coke formation demand minimal pressure drop and reliable isolation.

  • Furnace switching and isolation: Supports safe isolation of individual coils or furnaces for maintenance or inspection.

  • Integration with furnace safety systems: Acts as a critical barrier to prevent backflow of combustibles during transient operating states.

Guichon Transfer Line & Decoke Valve (TLV)

Looking for a valve that performs reliably in the harsh environment of steam cracking? The Guichon TLV is designed for continuous operation at extreme temperatures where coke formation and pressure stability are critical. Its through-conduit design removes retention zones and keeps pressure drop exceptionally low, ensuring consistent transfer-line performance.

The TLV switches cleanly between process and decoke modes, enabling controlled steam or air injection without disturbing furnace operation. Materials and sealing systems are selected for resistance to thermal shock, abrasion, and fouling, supporting long service intervals and predictable actuation.

For ethylene and Olefin production units where uptime and process stability matter, the Guichon TLV provides a precise, engineered solution built to withstand severe operating conditions.
